History
The Kennedy Funding Invitational began as a passionate tribute to a friend, Leslie Simon. It has grown to become a powerful statement about the importance of battling breast cancer. In just its first four years, The Kennedy Funding Invitational has donated almost $1,400,000 to The Leslie Simon Breast Care and Cytodiagnosis Center at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center. In 2007, the breast care center at Englewood Hospital was renamed in honor of Leslie Simon in recognition of the invitational’s exceptional support of the center. A heart was incorporated into its new logo to symbolize the love that is at the very core of the event. The Leslie Simon Breast Care Center is a world-renowned pioneer and leader in the field of the early detection and treatment of breast cancer.
